My good friend got me hooked on theme parties when she invited me and my husband over for an oriental dinner (complete with a gorgeous bamboo centerpiece and personalized chinese to-go boxes for leftovers). Since then I’ve done:
Mexican Fiesta, Martini party, Poker party (for my hubby’s birthday- huge success!), Italian/Tuscan dinner party, Christmas fondue, and a good ol fashioned 4th of July barbeque.
I still really want to do:
Costume party, Murder Mystery, and a 1950’s theme night. This fall I’m thinking about hosting a fall harvest party to celebrate the change in season.
People doing this are also doing these things:
Entries
. . . all social gatherings. Going to Yum Char, having a picnic in my flat, going to the great beaches in Dunedin, visiting relatives in this area . . .
so many options.
Did I mention it is my 21st birthday this year. It’s going to be big!
What is definite so far:
my flatmate, Diana’s, birthday is coming up in march (little time to plan) and we need to find a theme. It can be whorish or sporty or both . . . oh god this isn’t good.
Then Alice’s birthday straight after that and she needs hardcore fancyball style.
Finally Claire’s birthday is going to be “under the sea” after her gigantic outburst at the supermarket- we know she doesn’t like fish and refuses to eat it now, he he he.
