How I did it: I always pushed myself to my limit where I cannot move anymore and it worked :D
Just do it when you're feeling health (probably every 2 or 3 days) and pull-up 'till you drop

Perhaps I should take the time to start practicing in reps.
Right now I can’t do any! But I’m hoping to follow the instructions at http://twentypullups.com/ and work my way up slowly.
Now I have to decide whether to go outside every time I practice, to a nearby running track where there’s a pull-up bar, or whether I should buy a bar of my own.

my best was 15 in one set with palms towards me. i should be able to do this soon, but i need to stay on a regular training schedule
I’ve gotten up to doing 16 pullups at once, but it sure isn’t easy. Afterwords, I need a full day (or sometimes two full days) to be able to do that many again, or try for more.
