...on several fronts. I’ve been in touch via e-mail and phone today. I still haven’t got used to using facebook, though.
.
Note to self: Remember to send my sister a birthday card tomorrow.

I got to connect face-to-face with many of my family members on my recent visit, and that was a very good thing. It seems to make calling on the phone easier.
.
I also discovered more family members who communicate via facebook and e-mail, so I’ve found a new alternative to phone calls and letters for staying in touch.
.
The tricky part for me, as always, will be maintenance. Can I keep on keeping in touch on a regular basis? I managed to send several e-mails tonight, and to post a little bit on facebook. One of my relatives has fallen ill since I got home, and I’m touched that she is reaching out to keep me updated on her status.
.
Also, I got a care package from my mom in my snail mailbox today. She emphatically does not do computers! In spite of that, she does a better job of keeping in touch with family and friends than anyone I know. I think I’ll give her a call right now and thank her for the gift. :)

...let alone my extended family. But I was helped out in this last week. I came home to find an unexpected message on my answering machine from my uncle, inviting me to come and visit him this summer. I would also get an opportunity to see some of my cousins and their families. I talked with him yesterday about it.
.
I really appreciate his phone call and his invitation. I would love to do this, and yet I hate the thought of all the travel logistics. I’m still trying to decide what to do.
