I learned soooo much. I can knock off several of my 43 things now. I didn’t get to the full cables, and had to abreviate both of the projects ‘cause I’m such a slow knitter(grrr…damned paralysis)but I had fun, Fun, FUN. I already frogged and re-knitted the oven mit full-sized and it’s on to the hat.

I received confirmation for two classes at Stitches East in the mail. On Friday it’s six fiber-packed hours of
Class #: 512
Class Title: Knitting Next
Teacher: Kellie Nuss
Skill Level: Easy
Description: If you’ve learned to knit but want to build your confidence and skills, come knit a clever baby hat that teaches circular knitting, increasing, cables and stranded two-color knitting all in one! Kellie will focus on understanding how to keep your place when knitting circularly and feeling comfortable reading patterns.
Followed on Saturday by another tight-knit day with morning and afternoon class at
Class #: 520
Class Title: Everything After Knit and Purl
Teacher: Gwen Bortner
Skill Level: Easy
Description: You know how to knit, you know how to purl, and you’re ready to move beyond scarves. Open up endless possibilities by adding a few more skills to your knitting arsenal. Learn to work on double pointed needles, add stitches (increases), remove stitches (decreases), and create a basic seam. The project is felted after it’s knit, so any imperfections made will literally shrink away!
It’ll be a lot of new skills (see bold above)at once, but I can’t wait. I only pray my back, neck, shoulders, and hands can take it!

When Carole gets her shop all moved to her new location, I want to take an official class. I’m signed up for Stitches East in November too, but haven’t heard if I got in my requested classes yet. Crossing my fingers . . .
