shop has been really fun! Last week I got a deal on a coffee table with a beveled glass top and iron leaves frame. It is so art deco cool!!!
So I have decided to open an art & antiquities business. Have a few booths in antique malls, run auctions and sell on the internet.
I have selected the name and am in the process of opening by for business October 1st! Woo Hoo!

dresser with a mirror at the antique store where I am working. I can work in trade for it and save $225 because I am getting it at a discount.
I could use the cash and yet this seems like a great deal!

A friend I have here in the wilderness knows my passion for antiques and discovered that the woman that owns an antique store in Whitefish needs weekend help.
She is from Dallas so we have alot to talk about. She offered me a weekend job…sounds like fun plus I’ll get to get first pick when things come in. ;)

is a quirk I have. I honestly have never seen a 3 legged table I didn’t like. That has been an inside joke in my family for years.
Saturday I found one at a local antique market that I could not resist. It is 2-tiered, carved claw feet with beautiful floral inlays on the table tops.
I think it was mismarked because I got it for well under what I would have priced it…plus they took an additional 20% off because it was the town’s Heritage Days Festival.
I am so happy…just not sure where to put it.

handicapped people in their store. They are the sweetest people in the world.
Saturday was the grand opening of their new store here in the wilderness. I stopped by to see if they had any treasures. I have been looking for a TV to set up with my DVD player because I love to watch movies.
The TV’s on the floor were older models and not compatible with my DVD player. The guy helping me didn’t let that stop him. He went into the back and brought out a donation they just received. It hadn’t been tested yet but if I wanted it I could have it for $10.
Of course I took his offer. It is a 27” RCA with dual remote controls and has a beautiful picture and stereo audio system. I watched 2 movies last night curled up on my new (to me) sofa.
I am having so much fun searching for just the basics.

Went to the local Montessori School fund raising sale Saturday to find things for my new home…
I got a Herendon table for $5, a CD player with am/fm radio for $3 (it works) and various wine display items for a couple of bucks more.
The most interesting were 2 trivets made out of a vodka and a gin bottle. Hard to explain but they are really cute. :)

this will be fun! A friend who works for a property management firm called and said he found a small dining table w/ 3 chairs and 2 chairs (one lounge) (One parlor) that he can bring to me tonight after work.
The woman I work for at my new job is a designer. She has a sofa and love seat in my colors that I can buy from her and she’ll let me pay it out. We are going to look at it tomorrow at lunch.
My brother is down sizing and he has some treasures for me too. Still need a bed but the sofa could work for awhile if need be.

My grandmother found the lamps she needed and as I was standing there I saw some crystal pieces in a box. They belonged to the owner’s mother who has passed away and she didn’t have space for them.
I got a bud vase (looks like waterford but is molded), an etched German crystal vase and bowl(that are antique) and an antique candy jar for $5.
I haven’t been looking for awhile but this was a great find!

The last treasure was a 1950’s german full-sized accordian for $50 CAD!
I love vintage treasure and will scour bins from top to bottom in antique stores and used goods traders.
Hooray to booty!
