monday night football... 12 months ago

i was thinking… tradition – monday nights when the steelers, giants, or broncos play. – that may not work – geeze, me and football. i dunno. last night I dreamt that i was at a steelers game. My face was painted gold and black. I was screaming. IT WAS AWESOME.

    First tradition 14 months ago

Ever since I got married, we have been going to this wildlife park near Peoria once a year. It’s a nice day trip. We bring a picnic lunch, walk around, and see the animals. Traditions are great because they create wonderful memories and something to look forward to.

I love Real Simple because it is like a magazine that tells my future. There is always at least one article that gives useful advice for something I am experiencing that very month. This article in particular does not address some current event, but it is still useful; it is about family traditions and it has some really good ideas. Here are a few of my favorites:
    1. Adopting a foreign holiday to celebrate: watching Franch movies and eating crepes on bastille day, etc.
    2. Taking a hike every New Years to start the year off right.
    3. Serve breakfast for dinner every Friday night (wear pjs to dinner!)

Other ideas I have thought of:
    • annually pick apples, or blueberries or something
    • take yearly birthday photos in same place, posiiton and/or clothes
