I started writing my first idea for a book about a year and half ago. I then got lost in life’s trials and tribulations. I halted my first book but got ideas for another and began writing that one in hopes it would spark motivation to complete the first one. Since then I have halted both books and began the idea of a third book. I have never written an actual novel before but have written poetry, memos, and different types of essays. (thats what I call them) My ultimate goal is to finish all three books. However I will be content with finishing one. I lack the motivation and drive to continue through to the end. So I’m hoping I will find that drive within to carry me through the path and to the end of the journey.

I’ve been writing and telling stories all my life. This was the first real goal I ever had, and I want to see it through.

ok. here’s the deal. i have several good ideas, plenty of talent and lots of skill. the one thing i was not blessed with is finishing what i started. i write and get ten chapters in, then have an idea for another and cant concentrate on the one im working on. so to get it off my mind, i write some in my idea. that works for a while and i can go back to the first one, but i end up with five books and can’t finish them. Any ideas to help me?
I finish my first book and that is beening published now so trying to finish up my other 2 books I got started on. One of my books I am almost done I am at the end of it it’s easier to start and do the middle but, trying to finish it up at the end and not keep your readers wondering is a little hard. But, I am going to do it. After writing my first book I found a easier way to do my other books. I type up 4 chapters save it to a disk print it out then reread it correct my spelling add the quotes around what the person says write notes on where to indent then go back to my disk and correct my mistakes then write 4 more chapters I noticed this way my editing goes faster then writing the hole book then going back. That was to much for me so I found it easier this way.
Wish everyone best of luck on there writing.:)
One’s a Science Fiction, the other’s a historical drama..
One’s 150 pages already, the other is at 11 pages.
Ok, so I had a great idea for a series of young adult fiction books, got this idea awhile ago and started writing it… it was coming along pretty well, but then I got too distracted with other things in my life so I haven’t gotten much work done on it in awhile. Plus there’s a lot about the story that I feel needs to be reworked… this is gonna take me awhile, especially cause I haven’t had a lot of time to concentrate on it, plus my living space right now is not the best and I don’t really have a comfortable place that I can sit and write. I need a spot where I can sit and concentrate and feel at peace, and I need time to do so, and I need some more good ideas… I’ve been to “blocked” on this story for too long…
