The pineapple plant is doing really well, has continued to grow, apparently another year before it starts beginning to produce a fruit.

actually, it thrived! has grown a lot, and is still sprouting new leaves. Very happy that this one made it through the winter :)

has been growing really well

it has been a while since I posted an entry, but this plant is doing really well. I had to bring it inside a couple months ago as the weather got colder, but it is sitting on a window sill with lots of light and is growing really well.
It is probably still going to take another year or two to get the actual pineapple to grow, but for now it’s right on track…

it's finally in some soil

so I should have actually done this a few weeks ago, bit vacation, life, etc got in the way.
I was a bit worried I had left it in the water too long, but there is still some healthy green growth in the inner core of the leaves – exactly as described on the website that I’m following so I think it’s all ok!
Next step is to let it settle for about 2 months and hope that the roots take.
This is not a quick 43T!!

OK, bought a pineapple today, think I got a good one! I was able to twist off the top (was much easier than I thought it would be) and looks like my pineapple top already has some good roots.
The next step is to dry it out for a couple of days, so Tuesday night I plan to start Stage 2 (placing in water for 3 weeks so the roots can grow…)
