Ava Blue is here!!! 19 months ago

She was born on April 9th, weighing 10 lbs. 6 oz and measured 22 inches long. I’am so in love with my little lady…...

I'm a tad nervous at how big my stomach is going to get..... 22 months ago

I still have 12 weeks to go.

Here's a 4-D picture of my little lady.... 22 months ago

She weighs 2 and a half pounds already. They estimated she’ll weigh about 8-9 pounds. She has little chubby cheeks :) Her forehead and eyebrow area looks a little distorted, that’s only because of the imaging. The ultrasoung lady reasured us that alot of the 4-D ultrasounds look like that on that area of the face. She also had my Husband and boys talk to her during the ultrasound and she would react to their voices, by smiling and sucking on her hand. It was amazing.

My husband painted her room (pale Tiffany blue) and put her chandelier up. I went shopping yesterday for fabric, I’am making her a quilt for her crib. My first quilt, that’s a world unto it’s self, quilting. I can see myself making many in the future. My Aunts quilt, one of my Aunts is going to help me, she has a quilting machine…...okay I’ve just realized that I’ve said the word quilt about fifty times so far, let me count, okay six. Whatevs.

We’re having fun, I’am feeling great and large. I’ve got that pregnant waddle. It’s my oldest sons birthday today, he’s fourteen…..yikes. I clearly remember myself at fourteen. Luckily, he’s alot different than I was. He likes to stay close to home, I never wanted to be at home. And also, today I’am 28 weeks along. Only 12 more weeks left!

    Ava Blue 23 months ago

is her name. It was going to be Isabella Blue but I was out shopping one day and found this ceramic bird that was calling my name ;) I had to buy it. Later that day my Husband was talking about other names that we loved for a girl, Ava being one of them. When he said that name something felt very right about it. So I looked online at the meaning of the name Ava and it means “like a bird”. I knew that was her name. My little Ava Blue.

She’s a very busy girl. Constantly moving all the time and so stong! I’am a little nervous because I know she’s only going to get stonger, I’am 6 months along now, so I’ve got a few months to go….

We bought her crib yesterday, also a matching armoire and changing table from Ikea. I love Ikea :) So cute and affordable. Oh, and we also bought a chandelier for her room. It’s going to be so much fun decorationg her room. I’m going to paint it a pale Tiffany blue color, well actually my Husband will be the one painting. I wish I could but my Midwife said “no painting for you Zara”.

Well anyway, I’am doing well. I love my little Ava. I play music for her, she likes it. She also likes Tapioca pudding ;)Well, that’s my excuse for always having some for dessert. I sprinkle a little cinnamon on the top, it makes me feel like I’m having Creme brulee (because it looks like it’s toasted on top). Yummm. I also have to stock up on Pomagranates. Love those, and so does Ava. :)

    It's a girl!!! 2 years ago

What a day! We’re all so excited. We almost could’nt see what the baby was, the ultrasound tech was trying to view from all different angles and could’nt see a thing! The baby had her legs crossed. Finally she told me there was one last thing to try. Empty my bladder.

I was in the bathroom praying to God, the angels, really “anyone please help us!” I went back to the room and the baby had slightly opened her legs, “Wow, thanks God :)” Then after a little coaxing from the ultrsound tech by a gentle push on my stomach (and a bribe by me to the baby of a $100.00) she opened her legs a little more…..the ultrasound tech finally said “I see girl parts!” I said “No way, it’s a girl?!” and my husband and I bursted into tears. Bawling. The full on ugly cry.

My boys are overjoyed that they’re going to have a sister. I can’t believe I’am going to have a daughter. Really. It’s amazing. After the ultrasound my Husband and I went and looked at girl clothes. And then we both started to cry again.

So, now we can start buying cute little baby clothes and get her room ready! That’s going to be so fun. Finally, girl things! Weeeeee!!!

I had another Ultrasound today, 2 years ago

Not twins, we’re having just one baby. Phewww! I saw the heart beating. It’s amazing how fast they develop and grow. The little bugger is 1.2 inches.

I think I’ve got a handle on the old morning sickness. The trick is to eat something every two hours or so. Particularly something with sugar. I’ve been starting my day with some yummy dark hot chocolate. It’s been my saviour. If you go more than a couple of hours without eating, your blood sugar level drops and that’s when the nausea sets in.

I’m so over the nausea and the throwing up. I was beginning to lose me bloody mind! Hopefully those days are behind me.

All is well. I’m going to the Fair tomorrow. If you go before noon you get in free. I’m going to pick me up some scones, with raspberry jam inside. I’ve been craving them for the last week. I can’t wait to eat one.

This just might be a reality soon.... 2 years ago

I’am pregnant. For the past couple o’ days I’ve had a feeling that I might be. So, yesterday I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. It was really, REALLY positive. One line shows up if your not and two lines if you are. Well, the two lines showed up instantly.

I immediatly made a Doctors appointment to confirm and they got me in two hours later. Another positive test. She said that the test turned positive right away, which means I’m either further along; 7-8 weeks orrrrr I could be carrying more than one baby.

What?! Ummm, yeah. So, I have another appointment on Thursday with a Midwife to have my blood drawn ( that will tell me how far along I’am) and hopefully an Ultrasound. I want to know if we’re having another set of twins. If you have a set of Fraternal twins, your chances quadruple of having another set.

Yikes. I’am feeling great, just a little overwhelmed. It’s still sinking in. My Husband is super excited as well as our boys. The boys are asking alot of cute questions and check to see if the baby is kicking. ha ha. No, not yet.

I can’t believe I’m going to be a Mother of Four! We’re starting over. The feedings every two hours and diapers and the sleeplessness, oh my…..We’re ready and excited for our new addition.

is the name I liked if I ever have a daughter. But I don’t love it as much as I use to. I’ve always loved the name Tallulah. In fact, we got a kitten last summer who I named Tallulah because I gave up the idea of ever having a daughter…I mean come on, I have three boys, the chances are pretty good at having a fourth! Ok back to Tallulah. The cat. Honestly, we almost always call her Lulah or Lou Lou. So I can still use the name Tallulah. I lufff it.
