russellviii Getting ready for the summer's last vacation
But I turned out to not be the biggest loser after all. I ended up losing a total of about two pounds.
Unfortunately for me one of my friends who also entered this contest is a highly motivated, and extremely goal-oriented type of person. He had it in his mind that he was going to win, and he did.
He won by eating practically nothing for the last four days of the competition. I admire his ability to acheive that which he sets out to do.

Among the group who went were four of us who are trying to be big losers.
One of my fellow losers bought a nice, big order of greasy-looking onion rings and set them in the middle of the table and offered to share them.
OK, I admit it. I had a few. So did the other losers.

Today was weigh-in again. I lost all but 0.2 lb of the the weight that I had picked up on the road prior to the previous weigh in. I am back out in front as the biggest loser.
Just two more weeks to go.

I went up in weight a few pounds since last week. The problem: Iwas in Oklahoma all last week. I exercised, but I ate too much. I like to eat ribs when I’m down south. There was a place called the Rib Crib just down the street from my hotel. Tuesday nights are all you can eat ribs and sides. I succumbed to the temptation and dropped in on Tuesday night.
It’s not fair to blame the Rib Crib alone. There are a lot of good restaurants in Oklahoma City, steak houses, Italian restaurants, barbecue, you name it.
Even though I went up, at least I’m still below my starting weight.

First check

I weighed myself on Friday. I’m down close to two pounds.
Official weigh in is on Tuesday.
On for the entrants is certainly destined to lose. He came into my office last Wednesday to talk to me. There is a basket full of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. He kept popping them into his mouth.
I tried to keep him in the office with me as long as I could, because the longer he talked the more Reeses’ he ate. :-)
I was feeling devious that day.

Three of my work colleagues have decided to do a Biggest Loser contest. They kept wanting me to join in too. In a moment of weakness I succumbed. The weigh-in will take place on Tuesday. (We had originally wanted to do it on Monday, but they were going to make homemade ice cream that afternoon in the office.) :-)
We’re going to do it for a month. I’m the heaviest of the four to start with. That doesn’t necessarily mean much, since we’re all four of different heights and builds.
The contest is supposed to run for a month and is based on who can lose the largest percentage of their original weight.
This could prove to be a challenge for me since I will be going on vacation and a business trip during this time. It’s really hard to not gain weight while travelling.

is on at my work. 52 people have joined. It’s just a weigh-in once every week…for the next 8 weeks. Whoever loses the most weight will win $370. I need that money more than anyone else! Lol. Because I am a single working parent – raising three sons on my own. With that money I want to buy something for me. Something special & luxurious. Instead of paying bills or buying something for the kids first, as I usually do. Over the last 2 years I have lost 20 kilos…but I have reached a plateau…so I’m using this competition for a further incentive. Any ideas for a fast BIG weight loss? I know it’s not exactly the “correct way” to lose weight…but hey this is also a contest for money! Lol. It’s not just about weight loss & looking slimmer again. My goal is to lose 10 kilos but more would be good…as I am determined to win. Any ideas?

My gym is having a biggest loser comp – $10 entry winner takes all. The gym lady reckons i’ll need to lose 10% to win.

For the ambulance company I organized a Biggest Loser competition where we and members of the hospital emergency room competed against each other in monthly weight loss, with the grand winner being decided 20 weeks later.
Today’s that weigh-in day and I’ve lost 44 pounds during those 20 weeks which comes out to 16.86% of my starting body weight. I have to admit I’m somewhat surprised at that amount because I really hadn’t been paying attention to the running count. I’ve definitely won on the percentage of body weight lost because no one else is close. The pounds will be close because there’s a guy who weighs 100 pounds more than me who has been dropping big numbers, but gained last month. If he loses what he gained and just a few pounds he’ll win for pounds.
Competition always motivates me, and I’m glad I had my personal trainer push me today to sweat off those three extra pounds.
