Resign from my job

Have been with my current company for about 5 years, and have really just had enough. It’s tough to just get out of bed, let a long get through the day, not like this is an overnight thing, has been like this for the past 6 months or so now.

I’m wanting to resign and pursue my passion (music), but as i am on such a good wage, the financial decision is a tough one to make!

Decided not to wait for the formal letter.

Wrote my resignation letter this morning – one sentence – and delivered it.

7 weeks of work left!!!

Yay! Got a new job. I just have to wait for the official letter of offer before I write my resignation.

I have hated my current work place since about September. The boss is a bully, the atmosphere is very negative and few people can be trusted. I have worked extreamly hard only to have it thrown back in my face.

I am busy looking for a new job, but have to resign in the next two weeks or I will be trapped there until the summer. I have been mentally drafting my resignation letter for months, both the real one and the one I would love to send!

All I have to say is that this job is soon to be in my past. This I am very happy about.

Please accept this letter as my notice of resignation from “hell” I am able to work through Friday, February 8, 2008.
I will be accepting a position as operations supervisor with “new job”. While I will miss my friends here at “hell”, I feel that it is time for a new challenge and experience.
If there is anything I can do to be of assistance during the transition, please let me know.

Definition of “happy day”: a happy day is when you learn that you don’t have to give any advance notice to terminate your work contract, since you’re in a trial period.

If it were a perfect world, you’d learn also why you are in a trial period, since you’ve been working on this project for more than a year.

But let’s not be greedy.
A happy day is more than enough.

I finally resigned from a job. It is such a relief not to be worrying how I would be treated when I walked through those doors.
