I am currently knitting clothes for the teddy I have made. He isn’t stuffed yet and doesn’t have any eyes yet. He is a fabulous teddy like one I have never seen before. When I set the camera up so I can download stuff onto the net I will put a pic of him on here.
I am knitting him grooms clothes. Everything is knitted including his carnation and his tophat. It has taken 4 days so far to knit his pants which are not finished yet and I made a mistake in both the rear pieces so I had to pull them both out and have started again on those bits.
The pattern for this is a Jacquay Yaxley pattern and her patterns are pretty special. If you would like to see this pattern do a google search on teddy bare and you should find it. She also does knitted barbie furniture.
I really need to get this finished soon as I have a lot of things that just need finishing off to put in the Royal Show and a couple of things that need to be started. It should be done by then though.
YAH I HAVE DONE THIS AND FINISHED A FEW MORE THINGS IN THE PROSSESS
How to finish my current knitting project
How I did it: All I know how to do is the basic knit stitch (and I'm told that the "American" way of doing it is cumbersome). I also use hugeass needles. So that limits me to making kind of gnarly looking scarves, oh well.
I applied my method to some very soft green yarn I've had for 4 years or more. Made a scarf for my boyf 15 stitched wide (on #10 needles I think) and lots of stitches long.
I always forget how to cast off, so I had to learn that over, too.
I didn't take that long if you measured the actual work in minutes. But I spread it out over several weeks.
