Knitted myself a deep green wooly halter bra 13 months ago

(the right shade of green wasnt available on paint)
dont recall the exact thought i was thinking just before thinking ‘im going to knit me a bra’ but then i just sailed into it.

couldnt find an available pattern simple enough for me to understand.so i made up my own.
just took a moment to plan it first. ie structurally….and…supportively….

i didn’t have old underwires i could use (next bra project will have those) but i figured a halter(tied in 2 places, behind neck and back) should work.

so i knit 2 baseless-wineglass shaped pieces(but cuppish..ie curved et al not just flat knitted bits. sort of like in built darts) with a little piping like thing (i don’t know what the right terms are) and pulled a cord through those and so the 2 long wooly ‘wineglass’ stems from each piece tied behind my neck and the cord was tied behind my back.

said id take pictures and haven’t as yet, but i will ..in the not too distant future.

will give a more detailed explanation if any curious bra-less soul would like to know more.

KaliTime Camaralzman is drooling over Vladimir Kozlov. Hey, at least I'm honest...

Until I can find a quality site, I’m going to use my newly acquired knitting skills in making one or more for myself. Heck, they can’t be any worse than what I’m stuck with now and if they turn out alright, then that will buy some time until I can get more supportive ones.
