I went Ice Skating outside, it was called “Ice Cube” in Leeds, a temporary outdoor Ice Skating rink, and I went ice skating on it twice, in Jan/Feb 2009. It was quite expensive, but it was very fun!

Ahh I’m skating at the Rockerfeller center in just over a week :D Holidays :DDDDDD
I’ve been to the open air ice rink at Somerset House a couple of times. Amazing architecture all around! and a great atmosphere. There didn’t seem to any “show off” skaters who whiz in and out scaring the newbie ones (like me!).
Next time I’d like to try out the ones at Marble Arch or Canary Wharf.

We went in downtown Detroit, before seeing a hockey game at the Joe. It was the most fun I’ve had at an open skate – I loved being outdoors!

lucky enough to live in a city that erects an outdoor ice rink every year before Christmas. They string lights around the outer edges and you can see all the Old Town lights while you skate. It’s cheap (only 2 bucks) and it is so much fun. I try to go every year now as my children grow so they can have as much fun as I do.
Worth It!
I absolutely loved it, one of the best nights of my life. Really. I was in Switzerland and it was just beautiful, I took so many photos too :) I was there hours with friends I was overseas with (for an ice skating competition) and it was great fun. Get out there, its so worth it, especially for someone like me who spends 12 hours a week on the ice indoors and has never before appreciated the beauty of the sport quite so much as when I was skating on a gorgeous, huge outdoor rink

our group went to this ice skating rink over the weekend, but it was so warm (60 degrees) that the ice in the middle was melted. It was all slushy and uneven, but even with all that I want to do it again. Just not there. Our school is going to Boston this weekend for MLK and we are going ice skating up there at night! Our teacher told us that the rink is all in white lights. I can’t wait! It is going to be an amazing trip.
