Not quite sure which one I'm on 2 years ago

I’ve had the Apple Airport, a DLink repeater, a DLink AP-1001 or something like that, and now I’m on a Linksys WRT54-G. I love the current one.

Guess where I am... 2 years ago

In bed, yet on the internet. Got a wireless router. It was incredibly difficult to get it hooked up properly, but that is that. I’m might go into this further in the future in the hopes that no one else has to go through the past 24 hours of computer confusion and headaches that I have had.

Not marking this as worth it yet because… well, wireless is famously flighty and I might really hate it.

And now I don’t have one at all. That’s kind of annoying, but everything is so close together in my tiny abode that it doesn’t really matter too much.

...with a laptop. It would be even more handy if I could plug my printer in to it, but that will have to wait until I upgrade routers.

We got high speed cable access and went and bought a wireless network router at Circuit City. It was pretty easy to set up. I did most of it. Hydra changed out his modem for a wireless card, we set it up on my desktop, and I also connected my laptop.

Very cool. We are both on the Internet at home for the first time ever.

Oh my god, where did the last two hours go?

    Damn cords. 3 years ago

I am sick of trailing my laptop around only as far as its cords and cables will let me. Damnit, I want to be the supremo of laziness and be on the internet and in bed. I want to be on the internet and in the other half of the loungeroom. Sometimes, just for kicks, I want to be on the internet in the kitchen, or out on the front driveway.
