    They've arrived! 2 months ago

And they look great. Now I just have to try them. I’m almost excited for my period! LOL I have just under 2 weeks to go.

    Purchased some! 2 months ago

I love the idea of making these, but I don’t have a sewing machine and don’t have a lot of time these days. I bought some Lunapads to try, and if I like them, I’ll think about making my own in the future. I think they will arrive in time for my next period, so I can try them out! If I like them and make them a permanent part of my life, I’ll mark this goal complete.

This is important! 2 months ago

I already use the Keeper and have for about 4 years, but it leaks sometimes for me and I usually use disposable pantyliners with it and on the light days at the end of my period. I’d like to eliminate this trash from my life by getting reusable liners. I just ran out of disposables so this would be a great opportunity before my next period.

    Got some! 3 months ago

I got a set of cloth panty liners today. Now to see how I like them.

how to clean them...? 6 months ago

I got this off wikipedia. Any suggestions a knowledgeable user would like to add?

    Soaking Method
    1. Select a tub. Have a tub of some kind on hand when you start your period. Any kind of vessel should do- a clean reused yogurt container or a ceramic pot- but you will want multiple tubs or one large enough to hold a full cycle’s worth of pads.
    2. Use cold water. When you remove your used pad, place it in the tub and fill with cold water
    3. Change the cold water every time you add a new pad. Every time you add a new pad to the tub, pour out the water and add fresh cold water. Make sure you change the water every day.
    4. Add the rinsed pads to the laundry on wash day. When you’re ready to do laundry, take the pads out of the tub and put them in the washing machine and dryer with your other laundry.

    Rinsing Method
    6. Remove your used pad
    7. Put it in the sink and turn on the cold water.
    8. Rinse it and wring it gently until the blood is removed or the water is running clear. You can put a little hand soap on the pad to help get the blood out.
    9. Hang to dry.
    10. Wipe sink area with a rag or paper towel to make sure it is clean.
    11. Wash pads in the washing machine and dryer with your other laundry.

Half way there 7 months ago

I already use a mooncup but I supplement it with disposable pads. I’ll consider this done when I move over to cloth pads although in my shared house I’m not sure that it’ll be possible. It is hard enough boiling my mooncup as I have to make sure that a certain person is out of the house. She’d flip if she found me soaking pads. I’ll put this into given up until I have thought of a solution or moved out.

    Ordering today!!! 8 months ago

I love that the lunapads site offers so many affordable kits! I am getting a three pack to try out.

I was going to try the divacup too but I have just started NuvaRing and the idea of having two things in at once kind of makes me nervous. I googled using them together and the forums that I found talked about the cup hurting when it comes in and out. I don’t know. I will give myself a little time to adjust to this new bc before I go crazy.

But! I am very excited about the lunapads! Go pistacho paisley- I hope it is as functional as it is cute! I wonder if I could make these, once I see the pattern :o)
