Slowly but surely seeing improvement. Found a couple of things that don’t belong on there and fighting to get them removed. Frustrating as hell but when we went to buy a new car the improvement was apparent in the financing.

Im starting a-fresh today. im gonna make a list (starting here) and i will complete it one by one. Iv decided my first thing will be to improve my credit rating. iv looked around and i found a card called sterlingcard. it says it can help build my credit score. Iv applied and it should be here soon :)
It costs me £6 a month which is a lot for me but i think it is definately worth it, as Im fed up with getting rejected for stuff.

1st step- file bankruptcy. I know this will harm my credit at first, and will stay for either 7 or 10 years- I can’t remember which. But after that, I can start rebuilding.

726 Baby!!!
I think that’s pretty awesome for a 23yr old. My hubby (he’s 21) and I own our own home, two cars, we’ve had and paid off loans, we have very little debt left to pay off. Both employed full time and going to school. It amazes me still that I’ve been able to hold a steady credit score through it all.

armymustang has the most fantastic life and I am so thankful right now!
Not sure how it happened but over one month, my score jumped to 631 points so it was either a fluke or I’m finally doing something right. I’ve been able to pay all my bills up and on time. Today I got laid off from the little work I did have so let’s hope I don’t slide backwards from here!

A Record Low
I think that I can only go up from here. After being out of full time work for the last 7 months due to the baby and my work being very slow, my credit score has dropped to a record low of 515 points. My credit cards are all maxed out and I’m behind on my bills. Please let me get back on my feet again.

Any advice?
My credit is as bad as it can possibly be and that is not an overstatement.
I am now paying off my debts and should be finished by the end of 2009.
Does anyone in the UK now if you have to wait the full 6 years for the “bad marks” to go away or if there is anything you can do to improve it yourself?
Any suggestions will be gratefully received!

starting in college. They give you credit card after credit card, and being young and away from home for the first time…who knows better?! I took them all and maxed them all. Now I am suffering the consequences. I am 31 years old and my credit sucks thanks to mistakes I made 10 or more years ago. I want to look into taking a budgeting class or credit repair course, but I have heard a lot of bad things about agencies like this? Most of my debt is educational/financial aid related, but other than that it’s credit cards and what I call “dumb debt”. My parents and siblings all own homes and have excellent credit. I have a lot of support, but I want to do this on my own.
