that K had never eaten proper pancakes until I forced them upon him?
I mean, I knew they had scotch pancakes up there, but I didn’t think they had them to the exclusion of normal pancakes (which he had the temerity to call crepes). AND, he’d never eaten them with lemon and sugar.
Am proud to say that has now been corrected.

Yep, today I had some pancakes, with lemon and sugar (and a bit of golden syrup) on them. I made them all by myself, too (well just needed directions from the book and my mum, but yep). Tasty, I love pancakes!

Just had pancakes. Decided to go for freshly squeezed lemon juice (well straight from the lemon actually) and brown sugar.
Yum!!!

RuthG is going to walk her dog-body.
(in answer to the 43T question when one completes a goal). When I arrived from work, I found that the folks at home had forgotten about pancakes for supper (understandable since this particular tradition isn’t known in their culture of origin). Other dishes had already been prepared for dinner. So I pulled out the last of some Trader Joe’s multigrain pancake mix, added the needed ingredients, & whipped up pancakes for our dessert.
Toppings: almond or cashew butter, vanilla yogurt, wild blueberries, & blueberry-maple syrup.
It was enthusiastically endorsed as a newly adopted tradition. Then we discussed Lent, since when one’s tummy is bulging the idea of giving things up becomes rather attractive. I hadn’t realized before that Shrove Tuesday eating could have that effect, but it makes sense. :-)

As always, pancakes hit the spot. There’s a bit of batter left, which I’ll probably cook up when I have tummy space for a lemon and sugar pancake.

Made them now, the mixture has gone. I made some and had them, and mum made some and had them. I flipped one of them (it was a small pancake, but it didn’t fold/break like some others I made did). Although I guess it matters more how they taste than how they look. I even thought it was so nice it was a bit like a ‘mouthgasm’ (orgasm of the tastebuds! haha). Anyway, yeah – pancakes with lemon and sugar = yum!

I’d forgotten it was Pancake Tuesday until I got into work and discovered the canteen were serving pancakes for breakfast. Mmmm-yum.

when I went on the net today, I was checking my e-mails (hotmail) and it mentioned pancake day on MSN, so I found out (Celebrate Pancake Day – Shrove Tuesday, February 5). So, I thought “yay, it’s pancake day!”. It’s just an excuse to make (and most importantly, eat!) pancakes – I love pancakes. So, awhile ago I made the mixture with my mum (I asked for her to do it with me as I didn’t want to just do it all by myself) but haven’t made any of the pancakes yet as I asked mum to go out and buy lemons so I can have the pancakes with sugar and lemon!
