How I did it: We put a "wanted" listing on craigslist and several people selling them sent us messages. One person had exactly what we were looking for, so we set up a time and place and went to pick it up! It's perfect and it motivates me to get up and go! Read how I did it…

Finally bought one over the weekend. The store I went to had a friends and family promotion which got me 25% off, plus my brother found an add to price match for another $200 off. I’m happy with the purchase and am looking forward to stepping up my training.
there are so many on the market, things to be taken into consideration are does it fold? the size of the motor, don’t want a weak motor, warranty, will it be on site ? how long is the warranty for frame and motor, they usually differ.

My husband and I are trying to find a good used one… we’re close, I can feel it!

I finally bought a treadmill and got it set up. I’ve been running about a mile as often as possible. I wish I could say I’m beginning to see results, but I am not. I hurt my ankle on a cracked driveway, so I had to sit out a few days, then I had a 2-day long headache, so I just laid in bed…I’m not as active as I want to be! I swear, I will find a way to work this into my daily schedule if it KILLS me…
I can’t. freaking. wait. I’m going to run on it as soon as we get it set up the back room, in front of an old computer so I can watch movies. But then I have to start driving to my parents’ house for the weekend. wahhh
I’ve wanted a treadmill since I was about 12. I saw in movies (I think the first was American Psycho) that people would watch TV and walk on the treadmill at the same time, which to me was an extremely novel idea because I hate to sit still but I love to watch movies. BUT my mother must have been confused by my request because she got a stationary bicycle that became a coat hanger. When I want to ride a bicycle I go in the shed and get my bicycle, woman! (lol)
So I’m finally following up on this dream. I found a used treadmill on tucson.craigslist.com being sold by an upper-middle class couple who apparently spent $1200 for it and have taken good care of it as well. It looked practically new when I went to see it. I have to arrange a truck to transport it but after that (and $400), I’ll be able to watch my movies at night and run on the treadmill at the same time! I’m so excited!
It came today. I’ve been worried about where it would fit or just generally that I made a mistake because I’ve never used one before. But having now spent some time on it, all concerns are alleviated.
I used to be quite the walker before my second child. I have missed so much and for so long, being able to actually stride ahead at full speed (and not tot speed). I’ve set it up next to the playroom so I can use it while the kids are playing.
I still have to figure out all the functions and programs, it has a lot of different programs for weight loss and aerobics and such. This is great!
