The Shroud - John Banville 1 day ago

Completed a few days ago. Pretty good. The story jumped around a bit, but it was all within context.

963. A Sentimental Journey - Laurence Sterne 1 week ago

Just finished.

Whaaaa? Very confused throughout as the exact plot line but the story was interesting when understandable.

Fury – Salman Rushdie 1 week ago

Finished last night. Definitely a different one. Very topical for when it was written.

Drop City – T. C. Boyle 1 week ago

Finished a week ago. Liked this one alot. The hippy-ish, out-doorsy theme made is a fun read. There were some heavy moments, but the characters really shined.

The Sea - John Banville 3 weeks ago

Finished a few days ago.

Slow Man – J.M. Coetzee 4 weeks ago

This was okay I guess. The main character from Elizabeth Costello makes quite the lengthy appearance. Not a bad read all in all.

970. The History of Rasselas, Prince of Abissinia - Samuel Johnson 1 month ago

Finished on Friday.

Fairly interesting though had boring sections. Short yet took forever to find time and interest to get through.

Finished 10% now!! #100!

For Whom the Bell Tolls 1 month ago

by Hemingway. I finished this over the weekend. I enjoyed the way the characters and their different cultures interacted. Hemingway paints really vivid pictures as well, especially when dealing with nature.

Slaughterhouse-five 1 month ago

by Kurt Vonnegut. Finished last night. Like most of his other books this was a pretty fast read. I love how unique his stories are. This one I especially liked because of his exploration of the fourth dimension; the possibilites of its manipulation, how humans would actually look if they were seen in the fourth dimension. I’m a big fan of theoretical physics. I guess this book’s heart is really a statement on anti-war sentiment, which is actually painted somewhat vividly throughout. Very enjoyable.

The Master of Petersburg - J.M. Coetzee 1 month ago

I enjoyed this. Coincidentally, this work of fiction is based on Dostoevsky, the last author I read. Coetzee is someone I’m really starting to get into.
