i took a course about 4 years ago, (i’m 17 years old now)
and i learned to quickly type without looking at the keyboard :D

a lot of discipline and exercise is needed, just as a good technique, like to use all of your fingers :]

now i’m trying to use my graphical calculating machine (or however you call that in english) quickly with one hand, without looking at the keys.
i think it’ll be more difficult, because i use it way less often than my keyboard, even though a keyboard has many more keys than a “graphical calculating machine”.

it just takes practice..
I think the best way is to start off using a book, to get your speed up a bit. Then if you just want to learn how to type quicker use something like a tape or CD and just type as fast as you can and keep up with the talking. (maybe a kid’s story so it’s not going TOO fast)

Type Without Looking ALL The Time 2 years ago

OK—this goes way back to high school. Here’s how you learn. Get a book and sit in front of your computer with the radio on. Just start typing and don’t look down. Listen to the music. Soon you’ll be typing to the beat of the music and won’t need to look. Trust me, it works. I type at least 70 wpm…correctly all the time…

I can handle typing without looking at the keyboard pretty well, actually, i can handle it very well.
I guess the next thing i want is to lose my computer and go outside and breathe air and do nothing but that for exactly 49 minutes, ‘cause then school starts. i’m going to do that now. off-topic, but still.

Very easy!!! 3 years ago

I started when i was in like 8th grade. i taught myself… I agree. it saves alot of time…. and as you memorize where the keys are…. you will learn to type faster… may take some time tho…. Just keep it up!
