Why am I so scared? Will I lose control? 25 and getting older….

I hate driving. Really do. I learnt to drive a year and a half ago now but have probably only driven under 50times since. I get behind a wheel and panic. 90% of the time I end up shaking and crying and have to find somewhere to pull over. I always hated driving and used to dread my driving lessons.

I need to stop asking my parents to give me lifts to places where public transport doesn’t go.

I just need to practice when I next go home – maybe get my dad to come out with me and re-teach me (some parking in tiny spaces would be useful. I used to be good at parking, now I feel I can only reverse park if there’s a few car lenths to get into and there’s often NO spaces on my road anywhere near that large.

It’s stupid owning a car and being too scared to drive it.

Practice should help.

I’ve been in two major car accidents. One when I was 12, the other I was 18. Before my accidents I dident drive or have my license. By the time I was 23 I was extremly unhappy about having to ask people to drive me everywhere, I felt alone and embarresed about my situation. I found a great program online that helped me turn my life around. I am now a stress free driver. I’ve had my license for 5 yrs now and I believe I was the worst case. If I could do it you can too! I’m only 15 but I’m going on a military exercise next weekend and driving a 4×4 on private land. Should be fun :)

I’ve just got one

I have my driver’s license nonetheless I have a fear of driving because haven’t done so in many years, so i’m proud that i did drive this past saturday for 1:15. I need more practice changing lanes and not being too stressted out.Next time i will drive in high-ways and such and I’m expecting my on my third attempt I’ll be confident of achieving this goal.

heh, i’m almost 17 and i haven’t got my permit because my parents somehow misplaced my birth certificate. and they’re too lazy to order a new one. it really really sucks.

Drove a Peugeot Estate car – not a looker at all – to customer meeting on Monday. Had the car (fully insured for persoanl and business use) for the weekend immediately befor as well. Didn’t use it much though for myself as I am not used to big cars!

Yes I could get used to this – I can drive and I have driven itermittently. This goal is complete.

Well, I’ve been driving now for bout 7 months, so i think i’ve accomplished this goal. I don’t believe im to bad of a driver.
