Hitchhike across America

I want to hitchhike from the East coast to the West coast over a month sometime over the next year.

biggest expense is plane tickets from the UK which i am saving for currently

want to hitchhike across america as part of around the world trip but take like 1-2 months so i can really see america!! + meet hot girls

I was young and stupid. I wanted a new life away from my family. I wanted adventure. I was 18. I spent 6 weeks on the road. Nothing bad happened to me, thankfully. I settled down in Oklahoma and have been here every since. 14 years now.

When I did this, back in the ‘70s, it was fairly safe and fun. Nowdays it’s just not worth it. People are different and the majority of the ones who are not afraid to pick up a hitchhiker are the ones who want to hurt the hitchhiker. Not recommended.
