HobokenMartha found bliss in a blueberry -filled lemon cupcake

You may have heard about, that this book made it to the big screen. I am not saying, that I want to watch it before read it. But I thought, that it would be easier to find this book now. Maybe I am not watching closely enough. I will find out soon, when I am going to take a walk to a bookstore nearby. Or I will wait till it is making it’s way into the shelves of the local Library – by the way, it is now closed, because it is moving off to another location. And into a bigger building! I hope, it means more books, beside the – now inevitable – internet cafe.
oye veyajera frolicking
I couldn’t put it down. Such an interesting topic and so well put together. If you want to read this book, you’ll only need a long weekend to get through it because you won’t stop reading once you’ve started.
angniks had a nice birthday...thank you :)
but it will gross you out
im giving up on this, because i don’t even find the book interesting, and it just wasn’t my type.
This book, which tackles the issues of industrial meat production and fast food cultue, was an eye-opener for me and contributed to me getting more and more involved in the ethical and moral dimensions of food production. At the moment, Bad Food Britain by J Blythman is in the reading queue.
I stopped eating fast food…I hope it is forever…I stopped eating hamburger period…I hope that is forever as well. I think the book is a little biased but aren’t most books? To the victors go the spoils? The book is a very interesting read though…It’s almost enough to make you a vegan. Almost…I would recommend it to others.
to things I would have rather left shut but now that they are open I can’t go back. I am half way though the book. I find it very interesting. It’s like reading a documentry. You can hear the guy’s voice trailing off in the background.
After seeing it on tartsy’s list everyday I thought I would go buy it. It is very interesting. I have been reading it off and on since I bought it. I can agree with everything I have read so far. When I asked the bookseller if she might know where it was. she also Directed me to the movie super size me. So I am going to order that on netflix once I finish the book. Reading the book is almost like watching a documentary. Or at least it is for me. I find the similarities between Walt Disney and The Calr’s Junior Guy interesting. I know once I actually get into the food part of it I will probably be really grossed out…and never eat at a fast food place again. Which would be fine with me. I always feel terrible after I eat fast food anyway…
