sabryn okay...how about a calm December?

No yoga today 3 days ago

In too much pain. I did a couple of trial stretches, and they made the pain worse. I feel…lost. Something’s missing. I guess I really am a creature of habit (this is the first day I’ve missed in two weeks) – so if I can make something a habit, it’ll stick!

This is quickly becoming a habit 1 week ago

More so than my evening workout – evenings are so unpredictable, especially this time of year. If only my hair didn’t take so long to dry…I could do the full workout in the morning and get it over with!

I’ll give this through the first of the year, just in case I backslide, but I think it’s safe to say I’m sticking with it.

Seven days straight 1 week ago

I was going to take weekends off, but as the pain’s settling in, I’m thinking I’d better get all the exercising in that I can while I can. I get the feeling this isn’t going to be a pleasant month. :(

Besides, I feel better when I start my day with yoga.

and am about to put in a Saturday session! (It’s still morning…)

Look! I'm up! 3 weeks ago

And about to do yoga for the second morning in a row.

    I deserve a cookie.

20 minutes today! 3 weeks ago

I hit snooze twice before I shamed myself into getting up. Once I was up, though, it was nice to have some time to wake slowly and stretch. (I usually get up 5-10 minutes before I have to leave for work.)

Having said that, I’m still awfully congested in the morning. And very stiff. Hoping the latter will improve with time; I doubt anything’s going to help the former. :P

Note to self: Going to bed at 11 does no good if you read until 11:30.

I mean well...I really do 3 weeks ago

It’s just that mornings aren’t my strong suit.

I’m not giving up, though. In fact, as soon as I press Save, I am going to take my shower. And tonight, I will go to bed at 11 – not 11:15, not 11:30, or any of the more ridiculous times I’ve been coming up with – so that when my alarm goes off tomorrow morning, I will not feel compelled to press snooze for 45 minutes.

I couldn’t help it. I just couldn’t face all that cold and dark and earliness.

I did it - all of it! 4 weeks ago

Got up early, did my 20 minutes of yoga (add cramps to the garden-variety morning stiffness…yeah, I was hardly graceful today), and still got to work on time.

It’s all the exercise I’m getting today, so I’m glad I did it. Hopefully I’ll feel well enough tomorrow to do it again.

Yeah...didn't happen today 1 month ago

I was exhausted from working so late last night, and also had a horribly upset stomach this morning thanks to the impending period. So we’ll revisit this again Monday. (No yoga this weekend – much cleaning to do!)

Well, sorta. Took me a while to pry myself out of bed, so I only had time for 15 minutes. Man, I was stiff! And I never realized just how bad my allergies are first thing in the morning. It’s real hard to breathe deeply through your nose when your sinuses are completely stopped up.

However, I found that a cup of tea (and my allergy meds) helped quite a bit. So I think tomorrow I will make a cup first thing, take my meds, then sip the tea between poses.

    I’m proud of me!
