How I did it: Dropped everything and went to Bonnaroo 2012.
Religious experience, only better. My life flashed before my eyes because their music has been a soundtrack through so much of it...all of their greatest hits coincided with all my major life events.
"Scar Tissue"...cross country practice in high school 1998, 99, the van ride to states, the popular kids who treated me like a social equal, the jump into lake Wallenpaupack after that race...
"By the Way"...first week of college 2002, my sister Maggie gave me the CD as a going away present and I listened to it while making new friends who led me astray...
"Dani California" - living out of the Buick and sleeping on a couch in a backwoods hippie palace with Denise and friends while going to summer school 2006 just before graduation, and the great flood of 06 when bloom was under the Susqhuehannah...also listened to this a lot while training for the marathon in 07...
...to be continued...

...and it was taken from an original list of “things to do before I turn 22” I made in 2003!!
I had actually given up on it, pretty much. They NEVER come anywhere near Scranton or the east coast! And if they ever did I’d most likely be broke…
...Last night my friends asked me if I wanted to come to Bonnaroo. I have nothing major going on Wednesday – Sunday this week so I said yes and bought a ticket. Ain’t never been to Tennessee!
