5. Canned peach halves sprinkled with rolled oats, ginger, cinnamon and salt, arranged into a rose shape in a nice little bowl, and heated in the microwave. Fast and fancy! Very warming.

4. Vanilla ice cream blended with orange mango juice. Really easy and tasty. I might try this on company some time.
3. tortellini and portobellos with pesto
I love pesto, and I love portobellos, so I came up with something that has both. Chop and saute 3 portobello caps and one onion. Boil some tortellini. Combine the two and stir in pesto. Yum! :)

Had this dish at a cafe and found a similar recipe. Made it for a barbeque and everyone liked it so I’ll be making that one again.
2. wild rice bean soup
Normally I wouldn’t include one of my soups on this list, since I just throw some stuff in a pot, and soup comes out, and I’ve done this before, but this soup was something special. I’ve been trying for a long time to figure out how to make my vegetarian soups have a “gravy” consistency, and this soup suceeded! The broth thickened up into a nice thick, rich sauce, and the wild rice and quinoa added a pleasant chewiness to it. I’ll be trying this one again!
1. Blueberry Pie (Made from blueberries grown in our garden.)
I really like variety in what I eat, and I’ve been feeling in a rut lately, so learning to cook 10 new things seems like a useful goal for me.
