lovelessdog is reading avoiding her science project
My friend lent me this book called “Norigen Wood”. I`m a huge fan of The Beetals and I started to read it.It`s a sad lonely story.
How I did it: I just bought or borrowed each novel or short story collection as needed. I have to fill this 150-character minimum, so listed below are my favorite Murakami books, in order of how much I love them :
Lessons & tips: Not really a "tip," but if you ever get the chance to go to a reading or lecture, definitely GO! He's a funny, charming speaker & he does talk about process/craft.

just bought norweigien wood!
after this im going to mark this as done, because its close enough, and i wont be reading much murakami next year because theres so much more i want to try..
but its been fun and i might re-read some
i find if i read too much of the same author it becomes kind of diluted
so for now!
tcbell is a lady of leisures
so far ive read
sputnik sweetheart
dance dance dance
south of the border
kafka on the shore
a wild sheep chase
and in a month or so im going to read norwiegen wood
i have another two books i want to read at the moment and dont have the time to juggle. six murakamis is enough for one year, i think! kafka on the shore is probably my favourite so far.
toutesweet Happy! Happy! Happy!
So far I have read:
A Wild Sheep Chase: A Novel
Norwegian Wood
Sputnik Sweetheart
After the Quake: Stories
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle: A Novel
After Dark
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running
Reading The Wind-up Bird Chronicle now. A lot of thoughts. A thrilling plot. Murakami is like Dostoevsky.
. . . Dance, Dance ,Dance and Norweigan book can be added to my read list :) Both were excellent but very different – DDD weaving into fantasy, the unexpected round every corner, Norweigan Wood a beautifully straightforward yet complex love story . . . not sure what to read next. Was going for Sputnik Sweetheart but think that might be too similar – might try ‘After the Quake’, its meant to be very different.
I think I’ve read absolutely everything that’s currently available in the English Language. It’s very bittersweet but as long as Haruki continues to write, I’ll be reading every word that flows from his mind.
I have read:
Norwegian Wood
Kafka on the Shore
After Dark
Wind Up Bird Chronicle
I just bought Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. I love his books. :)
. . . have finished Kafka on the Shore, and read the whole of Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, both of which were amazing and have helped me get through lots of boring history reading :) Bought Dance, Dance, Dance today and will get started on that later this evening. This is so enjoyable that think i will have read all of them in no time at all. Almost feel like i should slow down and save them, but they are slightly addictive :)
I want to read all his novels and his short stories too. Luckily he’s still young and will hopefully just go on and on publishing his amazing books, so this is one i’ll be happy to pursue over the next few decades :)
