How to decorate my room

How I did it: I slowly gathered things. I think that is the best way to come into a new space. If you throw up all the stuff you used to have in an old room than there's no creativity or appreciation for the new experience around you.
I also really advocate using things that are already in the room/house when you move in. For example, I took down two shelves that were on opposite walls so that I could paint the room and when I was done I stacked them together on one wall to make bookshelves. Resources: Domino magazine is always an inspiration, though my room was mostly done by the time I discovered this fabulous little wealth of design knowledge. |

have finally achieved this.
Have put various posters up, noticeboard is almost halfway full, can’t really do much about the state of the walls/curtains/carpet but I have cut out some pictures from magazines and put them up to cover the worst of it.

ok so i cant completely re decorate my room but i want to personalise it so that its really interesting and shows who i am, i like all those small little things like the bits on the top of fizzy drink cans he he i just want small ideas using things like that to make my room more interesting, any ideas?

cleaning it the other day and it still looks pristine, so now I just need to start painting it. But have no paints….or paintbrushes…..or anything, so need to get those first. Then I’m going to bribe my dad to put up some shelves so I don’t have to keep piling my books on the floor. And to finish, maybe some new posters?

There were many miniDV tapes on my desk. I build cute card board shelf in my big shelf and put all the tapes in there. It created space on my desk and conviniently placed mini DV tapes!
