How I did it: Before I bought the new furniture I got inspiration from several blogs. I also found a lot of pretty stuff at the flea market. I kinda regret spending so much money at ikea, because I later ralized you can get much nicer and also cheaper things at private retailers. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I used posters, lots of pictures from home, lots of magazine clippings. My room isn't overly decorated, but it has enough so that I feel inspired and welcomed. Read how I did it…

cleaning it the other day and it still looks pristine, so now I just need to start painting it. But have no paints….or paintbrushes…..or anything, so need to get those first. Then I’m going to bribe my dad to put up some shelves so I don’t have to keep piling my books on the floor. And to finish, maybe some new posters?

I finally got some stuff up on my walls and have turned my dresser around so that the drawers are accessible! I have my clothes in there now, with my shirts and dressy items hung up in the closet. Organized my two big organizers, one holds only bathroom style items, organized according to where they are used, and the other organizer now holds crafty type items, organized according to type of item. Must say its awfully nice to know ahead of time where something is. Not counting this as done however, as I still feel I have a way to go. There’s still things like my speakers to be dealt with…
Covered one of the smaller walls yesterday with pictures from my fashion magazines and put up 2 new posters as well as some old photos. Now just need my dad to fix me up with some shelves and need to paint some of the other walls.
I want to own a house and do it up in all different ways – some bits eclectic, some bits traditional, some bits modern and minimalistic, some bits dark – but all bits homey and comfortable.
