meet ray bradbury

It was just a book-signing and I spent all of 26 seconds in the man’s personal presence, but during those 26 seconds I know I felt like we’d known each other for…geez…a minute or more. Yeah, Ray and I go way back. We’re tight.

getting old, but i’m hoping!

I want to meet Ray Bradbury in some really weird situation like a carnival on a stormy night riding a carosel backwards until I was like 12 years old and I want him to have tatoos over his whole body, tatoos that move all on their own.

...I’ve been reading his stuff since I was 11.

Recently, I read a bio of him, which was good—reminded me to never stop pursuing…whatever it was that I was pursuing.

I adore Ahmed and the Oblivion Machines, and look forward to reading it aloud to my grandkids (far off in the future, hopefully).

You might try writing him a snail mail letter, he will probably write back. I met him at a library fundraiser and we sat and chatted for 20 minutes or so. If you get a chance definitley do this!
