    Decisions  — 1 year ago

    Worth doing!

Its not just the big things that I find hard to decide. Its little every day things, like what movie to watch, what to eat for breakfast, or even what song to listen to. Don’t get me wrong, I can do it with some ease, its just that it really bugs me when I have more than one option that sounds good.

Anyways.. Hopefully I can fix that a little bit.

last night may not have been a total failure as i’ve just realised I was looking at a website which was coaching how to be better at making decisions!

    Brazil..  — 2 years ago

Well had a really big decision to make recently. My boyfriend is Brazilian and due to visas and setting up his business went back there in february. I went at xmas which was great but was kind of a holiday, he wasn’t really working and so on. I was going to go again in August when i’ve finished my college course (June) and worked for a month to earn some money as I start Uni in London in October. So it came to booking the tickets and I was just too late. I’d been watching websites bit they don’t update the availability, so when I rang I was told the cheapest I could get was £1000 for the dates I wanted to travel. Long story short i bought i ticket (£678.50) for 28th June until 23rd August, – 2 months! – but which meant whereas I could have kept my part-time job if I’d been going for a month, carried on when I got back instead of job searching, and transferred when I was going to uni (therefore having a job already, I now can’t, and it’s costing about £2000 in lost wages, ticket, plus a £300 fashion course i’d booked including hotel which I now need to cancel. The other point being that when I get there there won’t be that much to do as my boyfriend works 7 until 7 at his business. I might possibly be able to get some experience at the local shoe factory as his sister knows them well and has a deal where she buys shoes direct from them, so that would be great experience for my uni course, and aside from developing the portuguese (hoping to be fluent) I wouldn’t really be doing much else… for 2 months. So having bought the ticket I was starting to think I could leave it and still earn £1400 working here. My indecision then caused a huge row with my bf who said if i liked him enough the money shouldn’t matter. So i thought about it, and thought about it some more, and i’ve decided to go because the shoe factory, the portuguese and i want to set up a website for my work, which i could probably do there, mean I won’t necessarily be doing NOTHING. and i can see my boyfriend of course. tough one, but I think it’s the right choice.
