I’m originally from R.I. I was 9 when my family moved to Florida. I have hated it since the moment we got here. My plan initially was to haul butt back home when I graduated H.S…. But instead I got married to an idiot. So, 9 years later, I’m separated and ready to make the move he never wanted to do with me. So, here we are. Problem is, I work for Dad who just opened a new business, and with the economy being the way it is, I pretty much get paid nothing. They always objected to me moving. Now, all of a sudden are ok with it. So, with my parent’s blessing I can leave. The obstacle now is…. getting a job that actually can pay me more. I gave myself an extra 4 months because I hopefully will be out of the family business 4 months from now. I have to do this. This is all I’ve wanted for 17 years. I’ve gotta make this happen.
Update: Let’s see… 20 months later, Beginning of November and I’m still in Fl. Haven’t really gotten anywhere. But I just came back from visiting last week. It was gorgeous weather. Now, I’m trying to convince my bf to move with me. We’ll see how this goes. He’s not totally opposed. I think I’ll win! :)
