I have admired Andy Warhol and his work for many many years.
How to see the Andy Warhol Museum
How I did it: I was already in Pittsburgh for other reasons and dragged a freind there! it was really amazing seeing his paintings for real, rather then printed pictures and I was genuinely taken aback by how huge some of them really are. It was thrilling to see the texture and the marks where a brush was applied makes them even more interesting!
Lessons & tips:
- Take $15 to get in
- Start from the top and work your way down
- Be sure to check out the archives and actually see the people
opening, sorting through and indexing his "Time Capsules" which can
also clearly be seen from their office, brilliant! - Don't bother with a camera you wont be allowed to use it anyway
- Don't miss the silver clouds room, just trust me o this one!

I just can’t get enough of Andy Warhol and the youthquakers.
Should I see this museum high? I went to a 60’s in Canada pop art and neo-dadaism exhibit high at the National Gallery and it blew me away!
BTW Americans with conservative views, don’t jugde – In Canada the majority of us are very relaxed about marajuana use, in fact anything in moderation. I am in no danger of ruining my life or anything like that, infact I attend the country’s best University (Queen’s)and a little weed now and then never hurts.
I just went today. I love it. :-)
The cow wallpaper, the silver clouds, oh yes.
Andy Warhol is the best!
