After months of mostly getting my exercise through walking and running, I finally used the elliptical again yesterday. I forgot how nice it is to exercise at home. My favorite part about exercising at home is that I get to listen to music! I don’t listen to music when I walk or run outside because I just want to be more aware of what (or who) is around me. Staying home gives my skin a break from long exposure to the sun and it is also a nice change in my exercise routine. I couldn’t stay away from the outdoors too long though…I ended up taking a walk around the park yesterday too, since I had some extra time before going to a party… 6 years ago

I got back on the elliptical this week! I used the elliptical for 4 days out of the week (30 minutes each day), walked/ran 2 days out of the week, and took one rest day. I’m glad to be exercising regularly again. I’m not planning to use the elliptical next week because I want to go running/walking (my favorite form of exercise) every day for next week. I might end up using the elliptical if it rains though, so I’ll either write an entry about what I did on this goal or my “exercise more” goal.
I feel like I’m back on track with my exercising, but I still need to work on eating healthier. Hopefully I’ll make healthier eating choices in the following week… 7 years ago

I was doing very good on this thing until this week. I’m not going to mark this done yet. I need to refocus! 7 years ago

I used the elliptical for six days out of the week (30 minutes each day), walked/ran for one day out of the week, and I didn’t take a rest day. I should’ve started doing something similar to this earlier. All it takes is about 30 minutes out of my day to work out and the results of doing so are wonderful. I still prefer walking/running outdoors over using the elliptical, but using the elliptical gives me the cardio workout that I need when I don’t have time to go walking/running in the mornings. I’ll mark this done in a week (one month since starting this thing)... 7 years ago

During this week, I used the elliptical four days out of the week, walked/ran two days out of the week, and took one rest day. Three out of the four days, I used the elliptical for 30 minutes each day (one day was for an hour). I used to feel bad about cutting down my time, but I’m okay with it now…it’s better to at least do something rather than nothing. Doing one hour straight through just wasn’t something I liked very much and that’s why I changed it (it was starting to get boring). I want to stick to using the elliptical regularly and using it for 30 minutes is something I see myself doing long term. I might even try to use the elliptical twice a day for 30 minutes, so that I could get my hour again…or I maybe I’ll start doing TaeBo again to get more variety. 7 years ago

During my first week of this goal, I used the elliptical for three days out of the week (1 hour each day), walked/ran for three days out of the week, and took one rest day. I’m going to reword this goal because I’d rather do something like this than just using the elliptical every single day. I think I would stick to it more in the long run…I guess I just need variety…I don’t want to get bored of it and give up. 7 years ago

I was trying to avoid adding too much health related goals to my list because it seems like my things would just repeat itself, but I decided to just add this since there’s room on my list and it would probably make me want to use the elliptical more. I attempted to use it before work this week (I set my alarm to 5am), but I opted to sleep more instead of using it. I want to try and use the elliptical for an hour every day for one month. I’ll mark this done if I accomplish that and hopefully it will make me want to use it regularly after that time period.
I’m going to make myself start this today… 7 years ago
