clean sweep last night…..such a great feeling.
and so much more sense than letting things pile up and not knowing what’s going on in your financial life. because really, this one is about bills and dealing with yucky issues.

I want to sustain this for at least a week before I consider this done. There is a threshold fow how long it takes for something to become a habit, but being unsure of what that is, and for the simple fact that I’ve never sustained it for more than a day, I’ll start with seven!
this morning i was thinking about my day: work, walking to work, getting home, and what i have to do afterwards. a standing to-do for a free evening is to “go through the pile of mail.” i realized that THERE IS NO HUGE PILE of mail! what a wonderfully free feeling.
bonus: no scary/anxious feeling about what lurks in a huge pile of unopen mail (unpaid bills, late fees, insurance notices, etc.)
opened and shredded two months worth of mail between saturday and sunday. why do we get so damn much mail? i just don’t get it. well over 80% of the mail is just CRAP.
the pile has been whittled down, now i have to keep up with it.
