play roller derby in front of a crowd

last friday… 2 days ago… we had our very first bout.

we won.

i am proud and pleased as punch.

yay.

I’ve gotta say that this is my least favorite part of derby. Scrimmages are much more fun for me. I love the game, and the crowd is really good to me (I think I have an easy name to chant), but the pressure sometimes gets to me and our venue is SO SO Hot.

Then there are the creepy guys… so many creepy guys.

But all in all, where else could I have been anything even close to a local celebrity? So, definately worth it.

this sunday we’re having a scrimmage in front of friends and family. yay!

soon… very very soon… we’re thinking our season will start in fall. that gives me all summer to get my act together and get stellar at playing instead of average or good… yay!!!
