How to get my boating license

How I did it: I did this with my sister when I was probably 14, and she was 12. It was a two-day course. Each day we spent a few hours learning, and then there was a test on the last day. I believe I got a 94, which may have been one question higher than my sister, who wasn't happy about it. It's funny how you remember these things randomly, years later.

Last night (actually this morning) I stayed out too late, but I was still able to wake up after a few hours of rest so I could take the class to get my boating license! I had to drive an hour to get there and it was worth it. I got a private lesson! What costs most people $600 I got for the standard $100 fee. The reason was because the six other students that signed up for the class did not show up this morning. One has to pay when they actually take the class, so the missing pupils were just rude by not notifying the instructor, but not mentally depraved enough to shell out the cash and then lose it. Anyway, the class was supposed to be eight hours and after my long night out I was absolutely dreading it. The instructor was able to cover everything and give me a 50 question test in four hours! I only got three answers incorrect on the test and was very happy about that. It went quick and I learned a lot. Best of all I got my boating license! Yippee! I am so happy. Well, now I just have to go out and buy a boat … :)
