If you still think you have to be ‘cool’, you’re living in the ‘90’s. It’s time to move on. It is, and has been the ‘cool’ thing for years now to be nerdy, geeky, techy, otaku, obsessed, and especially yourself – in other words being nerdy is not nerdy – it’s the natural personality – stop pretending and putting up a false front. Be silly, make goofy noises and rave about the slobbering idiocy they spoon feed you before the movie starts in the theater! Let your natural personality come out. i just made the perfect plan to travel in time!!! and im telling everyone that by tomorrow i should be world dictator. Which i will be, because the plan will not fail. No one should worry, ill be a nice dictator. But i just realized that planning on how to travel in time and then saying that im going to be world dictator and saying that my plan is flawless is kinda nerdy, so i figured i should say something about it on here. 6 years ago

i used to be nerdy, it was pretty awesome. But i changed in high school and now im semi-cool. I want to go back and revisit my nerdy side, just to compare and see if being “cool” is really any better, i personally dont really think it is, i think its just that the “cool” people are a lot more arrogant and think of themselves highly, causeing the “nerds” to think lower of themselves, when we are all just equal. one or the other isnt really any better, you just do things differently, and you can have just as much fun being “nerdy” as you can being “cool” 6 years ago

Well, I don’t know, I’m not nerdy in that typical nerdy way I think. But, the other day I went to work and my shirt that I was wearing was a little bit shorter than I would have liked it to be, but I like my shirts a little bit long, but, I don’t know, I just kind of went with it. I think what this goal really means is to kind of realize the clothes and hair don’t really matter very much. I have always kind of thought this, but, I do also put a lot of effort into finding clothes that fit me in the most flattering way possible. Which I don’t think is bad, but, I don’t know, to just be comfortable in the shirt that is too short, and know that no one else cares or notices. I don’t know. 6 years ago

Whenever I notice this, which is pretty much everytime I sit down, I feel like a dork. I’m starting to care less and less. I still don’t think I have the nerdy look, which is fine because it’s not how I look, but I want to be able to not care if there is some sort of external factor making me look/feel less than gorgeous. 7 years ago
