I prefer rotors, and I’m learning to do double figure eights and more contact moves. I’ve yet to near perfection with one-handed twirls though.

I talked to a friend of mine who does kung fu, and he’s got me on a training regimen. I have two sticks. One is very skinny and light, “to learn grace.” The other is fatter and incredibly heavy, “to build strength.”
I’ve been practicing finger twirls, and from there I can move on to more complicated moves. I think my training in poi will help, since a lot of the moves seem comprable.
I haven’t done it in a couple days, after I dropped the heavy one on the side of my knee. (ouch!) I just need to keep working at this.
