How I did it: I did it with discipline and determination as well as the desire to do something good and selfless for someone other than myself. So, I started forcing myself to do dishes and to vacumn the whole entire house once a week and to do my own laundry once a week and to empty any trash pails that needed emptying whenever they needed it, and I forced myself until it became habitual, so that it was no longer too difficult nor was it too stressful for me, and that's how I did it!
Lessons & tips: Practice discipline first, then turn that discipline into determination. Taking a martial arts class or joining the army can do wonders for helping in that area!!! Plus, joining the army would teach you what it means to CLEAN!!! But anyway, I'm going off on a tangent... Then, after taking that first and second step, force yourself to do the things that need to be done continually until they become completely and totally good habits, and then it just gets done automatically! Stress free, right? Easy!
Resources: Dawn dish liquid, SOS, water, Windex, Tide 2x Ultra HE Free of Perfumes and Dye laundry detergent for front loaders, washing machine, dryer, vacumn cleaner.

I polished the silver tea set and vacuumed the house. Got me a huge hug and kiss from my mom. I actually enjoyed polishing the silver tea set, despite the fumes. The vacuuming was tedious and took only several minutes.
I want to spend less time on the computer (making up goals on 43things.com XD) and put more effort into completing housekeeping tasks, especially as long as I’m working part-time. It’s what we both want.

I might tidy my room up a little. It’s really small, so gets dirty quickly. I need to keep on top of it that’s all. I want the house to smell great and look great for when my parents get home from work today.

When you help someone out or tidy up, it gives you a boost of energy (Or at least for a lazy person like me lol). I’m usually the type to crawl behind my parents when I want something and only help out then, but they really do deserve a break, working full time 5 days a week, and they practially work on the weekends too with 3 teenagers to look after.

I never help then again she doesn’t ask. I need to do my chores everyday and get back into the swing of things.

My bedroom could do with tidying and organzing. Also, if someone tidys up, the next minute, it’s messy again. My family and I really need to put thing away when we’re finished. :-)
I help out constantly, but I don’t feel I help out enough. Sometimes I just feel tired after a hard day at work… But still… should that be an excuse?
