mizzledrizzle is coming to terms and finding balance
I;ve signed up for Septmbers classes and got in! £65 for 10 and £15 for material, but I’m so excited… it’s definitely worth it. I can’t stop thinking about it and am furiously plotting whatI want to do, cutting out clippings, taking photo’s and filling up my sketch book.
I just quit the studio I’ve been to. They recently changed the schedule requirement and the instructor hasn’t been actually teaching for a while. Got a wheel for Christmas and I’m thinking settup up a place to work at home.
Not sure how to do this though. I know I need a kneading table, shelves. Don’t even know how to make glaze. No kiln. A lot to do seems like…

I forgot to enrol for the latest ceramic classes, and guess what… they are now full!
Oh bother.

Step one and two completed!

This dream is moving on.

I’ve re-started pottery lessons after a 10 year gap and I can’t stop thinking about all the things I want to make. My professional life gets in the way and lack of space. I see these as challenges. I just know if given free range I could be good.
I’ve officially thrown my first pot on my very own wheel in my own studio. Dreams really do come true.
The wheel is here, I’ve put it together, it works!
Last week, I rented a room in a house full of potters. There are maybe 4 or 5 potters renting space there and weeknights there are classes. I have the only private room with a huge picture window. It’s a tiny room, but it’s mine and I can get to work. I’m pretty excited about it.
I’ve order a wheel from Bailey Pottery! YAY! Step 2 is buy a kiln or rent studio space with kiln access.
