It was fun. I’m not a good surfer though and I fell off the board a lot but I didn’t care.
How I did it: My buddy and I picked the only day that it hasn't rained for this past month and headed up to hampton. We didn't really know what conditions were gunna be like, but just decided to go up anyways. It turned out to be an awesome day, best waves I've ever seen up there. Lotta fun ridin' and beautiful weather, what more could ya ask for?!

So now that the surfboard is fixed, it looks like its rightful owner wants it back so she can use it. :(
The surfboard still has not come back from being repaired. I might ring tomorrow and see what’s happening with that.
Tomorrow I am finally going to take the surfboard with its missing fin to get fixed. I saw the doctor today who did my knee operation and he said I’m fine to go surfing. So it’s ridiculous to be wasting time getting something fixed that really should be very simple if I just got on with it.
We tried to go surfing again today and we’ve worked out that we’re going to the wrong beach. We are going to the beach where surfers go because the waves are BIG. We want little waves. We’ll try a different beach next time.
My brother and I got up early this morning and went surfing. It’s the first time I’ve surfed in years and I was very unfit. Also, the waves were a bit too good for us novices, so we had to muck around in the little, broken stuff. But it was fun and a great way to start the morning. Exhausting though. My arms felt weak and pathetic.
Was also up early enough for an amazing sunrise.
I’ve picked up the surfboard. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the weather to get better. Maybe by the end of the week…?
I was talking to my brother the other day and he mentioned that he was interested in going surfing. So we have decided we will try to go together once a week. It’ll be much easier to motivate myself if he’s coming too. Will have to look into borrowing my cousin’s board because we only have one at the moment.
I went surfing once when I visited my brother in the Coronado Shores Hotel (he’s a nuclear engineer for the Navy and they stuck him there to work for a while.) I
I live in AZ so I don’t go to the beach very often… I’m hoping to this summer, but I’m hoping for a lot of other things, so it likely won’t happen.
