create a will and a living will

This needs to be a priority! Three kids and no will is just bad. So this week I’m going to make an appt. with a lawyer.

My son is four years old and we still don’t have a will. This is something that is easy to procrastinate about because I don’t have dying on the priority list for at least another 60 years. We need to plan for the unexpected, though.

The guy doing our wills is doing living wills as part of the whole thing. So now we just have to wait for it all to be finished and I can cross this task off my list.

We worked out the terms of our wills and got an attorney working on it. I have to remind my husband about the “living will” part of it.

Write a draft to be submitted

Worth doing and not as hard as you might think.

And doing it can be a nice little exercise in clarifying values and affirming life and love.

I took out additional life insurance through work as it was only about $1.10 per paycheck and it doubled my life insurance amounts. It was a very good deal and allowed me to designate a beneficiary.

However, Mark and I still need to pull our fingers out RE creating a will and living will.
