teach my kids to surf

I was in Ft Lauderdale with the family and conditions were just right for teaching the kids to surf. The waves were about 2ft and gently rolled to the beach. I had Quinn on my 6’ gun and pushed him into the waves. After about 5 rides he wanted to try standing up. The first couple were rough, then he started to get the hang of it. He was standing and riding for several seconds before falling, each time he kept doing better. He surfed for nearly 2 hours as the sun set. The beach was empty when we finally packed up our gear and headed home.

Granted that they’re 2 years and 8 months old, I want them to learn to surf on their own.
