I’m a girl and 5’11. Being tall isnt all it’s cracked up to be. Sure, it’s nice to look at on the runway, but it’s not very easy to deal with in real life. I’ve was 5’9 at 13, and in highschool the boys wouldn’t even acknowledge me because I was taller than them. They’d overlook me for girls who were well less prettier than me simply because they were shorter. Of course, life doesn’t end at highschool :) I can’t just pick up a pair of pants and say “hm, these are cute and my size, I shall buy them. No. Inseam is important, and it’s rare to find “tall” jeans with the cute designs and such (I had to learn how to modify). I know petite women have similar issues, but having our pants altered to fit is rarely an option. And don’t let me start on sleeves. Long legs = long arms. Most stores who carry long inseam pants don’t consider this. Shoes are another issue. Try wearing heels at 5’11. I avoided them for a while. But eventually, I said fuck it. The rude questions and shameless gawking is annoying, though. To sum it up… The grass isnt always greener.
