Just to have that basic confidence in myself other than constantly feeling inferior in every situation and moment. Something to build on would be nice. I think i’m 5’6 at the moment, it maybe less but everyone else pretty much is taller than me.
I’m 26, male and apparent i’m all grown. But recently i noticed that I could see over my brother’s back garden fence, which before I wasn’t able to do. This then led me to suspect that my 40min walks into and then back from uni, whilst taking a daily calcium + vitamin d supplment for a month or so, has actually made me grow taller. My brother even looked at me strangely (probably worryingly) as I must have appeared to be catching up to his 6ft something in height.
I’ve done some research on the web and yes, the calcium, with vitamin d or sunlight and with running/long distance walking can make you taller. This is because you are putting pressure/strain on your leg bones and so the calcium plays its part in inducing bone growth and strenghtening. But the body only absorbs calcium through vitamin d (of a which a 100% daily allowance can be obtained from 10mins of exposure to sunlight) and vitamin c.
Other info i found was, ‘the body produces more growth hormones 10mins after exercise’ and ‘sleep is very important because the pituitary gland reaches its peak production of growth hormone about an hour after you fall asleep.’ Also ‘a poor diet (i.e. fast food, caffine etc) and deydration reduces the amount of growth hormone produced.’
I’m hoping to utilise the hell out of this little gem before I get too much older and the growing just stops.
PS: Also i’m led to believe that lots of stretching/jumping, correcting your posture/building up your lower and upper back muscles will also make you taller. As well as chest and abs to counter the new back muscles.
Good luck!

I’m a girl and 5’11. Being tall isnt all it’s cracked up to be. Sure, it’s nice to look at on the runway, but it’s not very easy to deal with in real life. I’ve was 5’9 at 13, and in highschool the boys wouldn’t even acknowledge me because I was taller than them. They’d overlook me for girls who were well less prettier than me simply because they were shorter. Of course, life doesn’t end at highschool :) I can’t just pick up a pair of pants and say “hm, these are cute and my size, I shall buy them. No. Inseam is important, and it’s rare to find “tall” jeans with the cute designs and such (I had to learn how to modify). I know petite women have similar issues, but having our pants altered to fit is rarely an option. And don’t let me start on sleeves. Long legs = long arms. Most stores who carry long inseam pants don’t consider this. Shoes are another issue. Try wearing heels at 5’11. I avoided them for a while. But eventually, I said fuck it. The rude questions and shameless gawking is annoying, though. To sum it up… The grass isnt always greener.

I’m one of the shortest people in my class.
I tried wearing stilts to school and I tried stuffing my shoes with napkins but they didn’t work . .
