I’m going to Destin, FL next month with my friend and we plan to go snorkling! :)
How to snorkle
How I did it: I went snorkeling in Destin, FL on the Blue Dolphin Tour. TThe water was not as clear as I imagined it would be. I would suggest doing it in a place that had clearer water and maybe a reef or something. I cannot swim, but I had a life jacket so that was fine. I hope I can do it again sometime, maybe somewhere else. I'm glad I could experience it!
Lessons & tips: wear sunscreen!

ChiOmegaGirl is a mommy! She's finally here!
On a cruise, we went snorkeling off of Cozumel. It was beautiful, and so much fun but I swallowed salt water and felt gross for the rest of the day. I don’t suggest doing that ; )

A couple weeks ago my husband and I went to Barbados. One of the main things there are these catamaran cruises, they’re big business and very competitive (in terms of making their customers have the best time), we weren’t even aware of it until we got there and the people at the resort had a scheduled weekly trip that they did on the one called Cool Runnings. We had such a great time. We snorkled on a ship wreck and swam with sea turtles, it was so cool!
Clear blue waters, colorful reefs and corals, friendly marine life… too friendly that a school of fish will nibble on your fingers when you run out of bread feeding ‘em. But the up-close & personal experience was truly extraordinary from the usual beach vacation.

Last September, I went snorkling near Duck Key in the Florida Keys! It was really amazing, the water was nice and warm, only a ‘bit salty’ now and than when the water came in the tube but hey it was my first time, never even done it in a quiet pool or something.. I just loved it!! By the way, we did it only a day before hurricane Rita came rushing into the Keys.. Exciting!! But the sea stayed nice and calm while we were there :)
I’ve done it off of Ein Gedi, Maui, and St. John and each time it was breathtaking. Especially good if you love to swim and explore, but deep water makes you panicky.
snorkling in a swimming pool. I can’t wait to go somewhere where there are actually fish to look at.
Best time of my life was going to a beautiful beach with white sand and clear, turquoise-blue water. Loved it. Am going back to Mexico next Spring for 10 days on a very private beach at Chamela.
