I just found out that the moving company will have to unpack all of my packed stuff to take inventory for insurance purposes. Why am I being punished for being responsible? This is so unfair. I was so worried I’d end up having to pack everything last minute and now it would have been better to just lie around and do nothing. My DH couldn’t stop laughing. :( Well at least we won’t have to load and move it.

Got this started by clearing out a space and ordered more boxes. The trick now is to box what we aren’t currently using in a way that would take over our entire living space since we may possibly be here until the end of the month. Last move I had a whole extra room so this was easy. I could wait, but being me that is just not an option. My best friend was recently evicted and she had to pack everything up and move in 5 days. You’d think that was long enough but with kids and stress people just started shoving things in bags and grabbing whatever was closest to throw into the truck. By packing over time it will stay organized, stress free, and I can take my time to decide on what to purge with the hopes of packing zero junk. And in the event that the husband gets a job sooner, we’ll be ready.
just in-UPS just delivered the boxes. Now I really have no excuse.

but I’m ready to get started. I have six boxes and plan to get more tomorrow. I can get the books out of the way and some of the lesser used kitchen stuff. I’m gonna miss my books. Perhaps I should sell some of the ones we’ve read that aren’t hardcovers. Where could I sell something like that? The less we store the better. In the future when we move we can get better furniture and nicer stuff so I’m not all that attached if it could bring us some cash now, though I’m not that willing to put much effort into it.
