How I did it: So I had to wait for my mom to send me the registration. Once I got it, i went directly to the DMV (I don't recommend waiting to make an appointment, they usually aren't immediate). I waited for about 20 minutes when they called my number. I handed over the paper work and since it was a family transfer I didn't have to pay a tax or do a smog. I paid $184 for the tags until March 2010. So now I have a car! Lessons & tips: Go early in the AM to the DMV. Don't make an appointment. |

How I did it: wow! that was much easier then i thought! so ive been holding back for two reasons.... 1) i was low on cash and 2) i live near hollywood and the DMV there is filled with rude people that dont give a shit THE MOST!!! but after talking with my dad , he finally told me that i can just go to the AAA and i went and it only took me about 20 minutes! i went to glendale because its more of a subarb and its not as busy. and they gave me my tags ri… Read how I did it…

My mom finally mailed me the registration and I got it in the mail on Saturday. Early Monday morning I’m going to the DMV to register it. Yay! Then the car is almost mine! Do I have to have proof of insurance before I change registration?
I was early this year. I can’t believe it. I did it today and it was almost painless. The waiting time was less than 30 minutes. The charge, $56. The woman even told me my license picture was beautiful! What? huh? Well, that was sweet. Even though it looks ridiculous and too ‘barbied’ up. I was trying to look pleasant for once in a license picture.

a) Gone to AAA and joined.
b) Gotten advice about how to proceed from AAA
c) Gotten a replacement copy of D/L at DMV
OK, now I need a) emotional encouragement
b) practical advice on what to do.
I didn’t file the title when I bought the car, and now I need to go through the process of transferring title and registering it, long after purchasing.
I have the signed over title from the seller.
What should I do?
it’s been 2 months since I said I was going to register my RV… and I’ve not done a thing about it. I am expecting the process to be expensive, and I didn’t get paid by a client, so I’ve been broke.
OK, the client finally paid up, I’ve got money to do this, I’m going ot get it done!!!

I have a little RV. I bought it, and was so busy at a crazy job that I never registered it. So then I felt guilty/bad about not registering it, and now it’s more than a year gone by, and, er,well, I just can’t cope with doing it.
