This is something I’ve got on my list of 3 main goals with my life coach. The way I’ve got it phrased with her is “A fun, healthy network of friends with purpose that feels like family”. Since both my parents are from Hawaii, and my mom is matrilineally descended from a pure Hawaiian, I resonate a lot with the culture there. There’s a word that embodies a lot of this, it’s called ‘ohana. It means family, but it’s not just blood line. It’s how people treat each other, and it is a connection.
