Vicky has done her good deed for the weekend.
Here he is! Got him last night and is great! He’s fitted in really well and already has a favourite spot right infront of the T.V. He won’t use his bed though :S. He’s great on walks and doesn’t pull to see small children or anything!
He’s lazy but I love him :D
Fiz has to start completing more of her goals..
This is one of the first things i want to do when i get my own place. I honestly can’t wait! I have always loved greyhounds, even when i was a child :)
My parents own racing greyhounds as well, although i don’t particularly agree with it.
When up close and personal with Greys, they are adorable. They are easy to handle and easy to look after. There are so many positives to owning these dogs. Being cheap to feed each week, plus very clean, they also get you out of the house and make you do exercise. Plus, you always have a snuggling buddy to come home too :)
All hail the greyhounds!

I saw this little greyhound puppy in the petstore one day and I loved her instantly. She was so shy too, it was adorable. And she was $1200! I’m going to adopt a few once I buy my own house. They’re too majestic not to love.
I have to wait until I’m living in a house to adopt a greyhound and I should be moving into the house I’m buying by the end of this month or beginning of next month. I plan to wait a few months to get a dog so I can settle into my home and fix up the yard.
We had Greyhounds when I was a kid, they are wonderful animals. Right now my life is to busy for a dog while I am still in college. Maybe after things settle down I will adopt one of these gorgeous dogs.
Shakespeare's Girlfriend is excited to see what happens to her in 2009!
There is no way we can do this right now. I’ll keep this in the back of mind though. Some day when we get a house we can adopt.
My family rescued a greyhound, Norman, when I was very young. He lived to be about 13 and was the best pet and friend my family could ever have had. He was the dog with 9 lives; he was hit by a car, he had multiple seizures, a stroke, broke his leg, lost every toenail he had at least four times and ultimately had to be put down after he got cancer. Despite all this he was happy, loving and energetic all his life. He was such a survivor and made me fall in love the breed. After I stop living like a nomad and get some hardcore traveling done, I want to rescue and care for a greyhound (or, like, five!) of my own.
I have to put this one aside for awhile. I need to get some major traveling done before I take on the responsibility of a dog.

I don’t think I really want or need another dog in my life.
But I will contribute to greyhound rescues in my area whenever I’m able…
